L'epidemiologia, con il contributo della metodologia statistica, studia gli stati di salute e di malattia nelle popolazioni umane. Questo implica studiare la distribuzione della frequenza degli eventi e delle malattie, e dei fattori che li determinano e li influenzano.
Dors, in collaborazione con il Servizio di Epidemiologia dell’ASLTO3, reperisce, elabora e rende disponibili i dati essenziali per programmare, gestire e valutare gli interventi di monitoraggio, prevenzione e cura dei problemi rilevanti per la salute.
EPIDEMIOLOGY & STATISTICSEpidemiology uses statistical methods to investigate health and disease in humans. This is done by analysing the distribution of the frequency of events and diseases and the various determinants and influencing factors.
DoRS works in conjunction with the Epidemiology Department of the ASL TO3 local health unit to gather, process and publish essential data for planning, organising and evaluating interventions to monitor, prevent and treat health-related problems.
